My name is Brendan and I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia.
I have been happily married now for almost 3 years to a woman who has taught me more than I could ever learn from school, university or even self-help books! She helped me discover myself and without sounding too clichéd, she makes me a better man.
I work for a large IT company and my role keeps me very busy both during and after office hours. Being on the road sometimes means that I need to find a way to keep well on top of emails, voicemails, meetings etc. so things don’t get out of control. Juggling work, social, and family commitments takes some time, but I seem to manage. I consider myself to be quite a process centric person and so I like to step things out and plan where I can.
When I am not working, I enjoy playing golf, going for a cycle, watching a plethora of sports on TV (I try not to miss any Manchester United matches, making sure I wake up to watch them Live every fixture), and what guy doesn’t enjoy some time on his Playstation 3?
Life and my routines will be thrown into disarray as on January 14th, 2012 my first child was born… an adorable boy named Jayden.
Suddenly it hit me, I am now a full-time dad!
And the juggling begins!

Congrats man. Thanks for the visit to Frank’s Place. It’s been a great experience for me and Frank so far. Looking forward to reading about your journey with Jayden.
Congrats on fatherhood! If you need any advice, don’t ask me. I don’t have a clue about what I’m doing! I’m about 10 months ahead of you in the fatherhood game. Good luck and have fun with it!
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will be sure to check out yours as well, and I’d appreciate suggestions for topics or questions you might have… you know, for the “parenting forum” and all =)
Congrats to your son. U sound just like my husband – I have also made him a better person and taught him much
. But the resemblance became most obvious when I read about Man U.
glory glory Man United!
Your husband sounds like a great guy! hehe
Another tip I discovered is the ’5 sounds every baby makes” and what they mean, from Priscilla Dunstan: http://www.gomommygo.com/Baby_Sounds.html
I am amazed how accurate they are to discern what your baby is trying to tell you.
Best of everything!
wow, thanks for that link… I will have listen out for these subtle differences from now on!
Thanks for dropping by the blog. I love connecting up with dads that are being INTENTIONAL about being dads. It’s awesome to see you jumping in rather than recoiling like so many naturally do.
Thanks for being a dad….
I love the idea of your blog – it’s refreshing to see parenting from a father’s point of view! Keep up the good writing!
Thanks for stopping by and for the words of encouragement Josepha
Congrats on the birth of your son!! Hope parenthood is treating you well. So excited to find another dad blog. There aren’t a whole lot out there! Found you through the tots 2 tweens Blog Challenge.
